While there are many organizations throughout the country supporting the welfare of animals, it has to warm your heart to know that a group such as Guardian Angels for Soldier’s Pets exists. They are creating a “Foster home network throughout theUnited States to provide a caring, loving, and safe home environment for military service members (all branches of service) and veterans’ pets during their owner’s deployment or an emergency hardship.”

Most pet owners know how difficult it can be to find someone to care for their pet while on vacation. Imagine the sadness of knowing you may have to give up your pet forever, because no one can cover a year’s deployment. The Guardian Angels foster program is there to help these soldiers, so they can be reunited with their pets after returning home.
