Volunteering

Volunteers are always needed for the shelter, intake center, thrift store, and at PetsMart handling adoptions. Three to four hours of your time once a week will do it! Please visit one of our locations and fill out a volunteer form if you would like to help.

Shelter
Volunteers feed, clean and socialize with the cats seven days a week, two shifts each day.

Intake Center
Volunteers feed, clean and socialize with the cats seven days a week, two shifts each day.

Thrift Store
Volunteers staff our thrift store six days a week, two shifts a day.

PetsMart Adoptions
Volunteers interact with owners and potential adopters. They also transport the animals to PetsMart and back.

      How terrific that you would like to volunteer. You can call the 96th Ave and Peoria Ave Shelter at 623-773-2246 or the Youngtown Adoption Center at 623-876-8778. There is a volunteer application and liability waiver to complete, as well.

  5. Hi ! My name is Anisia and I am looking to volunteer at an animal shelter. I love both cats and dogs and I have some of my own. I do have an allergy, but it is not severe. Would I be able to volunteer starting mid-May? Do I have to be a certain age? I am sixteen. Please reply, thank you!
