LUCKY’S FUND

Late in 2015, a white/gray cat was found on side of road riddled with BB’s. This cat was cared for by a lady until late 2016 when the cat was brought to Sun Cities 4 Paws to see if we could help. X-rays were taken and over 20 BBs were seen. While most missed vital organs, there were many riddled throughout her body, including in the head and sinus cavities. This cat, which was named Lucky, was going to need several surgeries, one of which resulted in Lucky losing an eye. Lucky had three total surgeries in 2016 and 2017. Also, her future health would include monitoring of the BB’s to ensure none had moved to dangerous areas in her body, which means costly X-rays.

The public response was heartwarming as donations came from many sources. Lucky is a beautiful white and gray cat, who adapted well to one eye, and now with a loving family.

4 Paws has decided to continue with the ‘LUCKY FUND” as a means to help defray the high medical costs of the cats/kittens that come to Sun Cities 4 Paws with serious injuries or conditions. This may include specialists, diagnostic procedures, surgeries, and medications.

Your continued contributions will help Sun Cities 4 Paws to continue the high quality of care that is provided to its felines.

We at Sun Cities 4 Paws are asking you to help with monthly contributions or even when you drop by and add to our “LUCKY JAR” whenever you can.

We will be posting these special felines that need additional help and will update on their progress. Thank you all for your continued caring of the cats and supporting Sun Cities 4 Paws.

Donations can be made via check to Sun Cities 4 Paws, PO Box 426, Youngtown AZ 85363. Please mark for “LUCKY FUND” OR you can donate via the website and put “LUCKY FUND” on the memo line.
